Grilled
Grilling, which in the true sense of the term is the grilling action, has four meanings in the kitchen: ▪ It is the way to cook certain pieces of meat or fish. Grilling consisted of putting on the grill pieces that had already been roasted. ▪ This is the name of the grilled dish. ▪ This is the name of the piece of meat you want to grill. ▪ The appliance is used for grilling. In France, grilling in the open air can also be synonymous with picnics. As for the meat, the most tender pieces, often a little greasy, are used for grilling, since the other pieces thus prepared become unpleasantly hard. For this reason, grilling meat is often expensive. The meat can be roasted, for example, on embers, on a grill, a barbecue or a broiler.
