Freedom
In general, freedom is a concept that designates the possibility of action or movement. In mechanics, for example, we speak of degrees of freedom to account for the possible movements of a coin. For common sense, freedom is opposed to the notion of confinement or sequestration. A person who has just left prison is said to be free. The original meaning of the word freedom is quite close: the free man is one who does not belong to another, who does not have the status of slave. In philosophy, sociology, law and politics, liberty is a major notion: it marks the ability of individuals to exercise their will with, according to the political orientation of the discourses held, the emphasis on nuances, each of which does not exhaust the integral sense: ▪ Negative formulation: where one points to the absence of submission, servitude, constraint, whether exercised by other individuals or by society.
