Strabismus
The strabismus (from the Greek στραβισμός (strabismós), cf. στραβίζειν (strabízein) "squint", στραβός (strabós) "ladle") is a defect of parallelism of the visual axes. It is a complex neurosensory syndrome. Strabism disturbs the sensory and motor correspondence of both eyes. It will be noted that in common parlance, the term "squint" applies to a defect of convergent parallelism.
