Expiration date
The expiry date, or expiry date, is a date on microbiologically perishable foodstuffs which, after a short period, may present an immediate danger to human health. It is determined by the producer, except for a few products for which it is fixed by the regulations. It is valid only if the foodstuffs have been kept at a temperature lower than or equal to that indicated on the packaging. It is compulsory for fast-perishable foodstuffs: fresh milk, yogurts, meat in trays, fresh sausages, fresh ready meals, etc.
