Dream
Dreaming is the twenty fourth single from Mylène Farmer released on November 16, 1996. It is also the fifth extract of his fourth studio album Anamorphosée. The lyrics of this song refer to the following literary works: ▪ Vernon Sullivan's book, I will spit on your graves published in 1946. ▪ The poet Pierre Reverdy's texts: ▪ "We will not walk together" is the last verse of a poem entitled "In the foreign world". "Flaming dreams, arms are rising" reminds us of the poem "Esprit pesant", where we find these words: "On the right dance a few flames that will not go higher, and if the arms rise, they touch the ceiling ". ▪ As for the words "The world as a pendulum / Who stopped," they echo the poem "Always There", extracted from the collection "La Lucarne ovale". "The world as a pendulum has stopped / People are hanging for eternity".
