Apamea
Apamea (Apamea) or Apiaia (Greek: Απάμεια, Arabic: أفاميا, آفاميا, Afamiya) is an urban ruin located in northwest Syria. It is one of the busiest cities on the right bank of the Olontes River, called the four biggest cities of Seleucos morning, and it was also a military city that gathers war horse and supplies. It is also called "Apiares of Syria" (Απάμεια της Συρίας) or "Apelae on the river Olontes" to distinguish it from other cities with the name of the same apeara. About Apamea is mentioned in Strabbon 'Geografca (Geographical Magazine)' (xvi. P. 752) and Ptolemy 'Geografia (Geography)' (v. 15. § 19). ...
