Abomei
Abomei is the town of Benin, the capital during the former Kingdom of Daome. The Kingdom of Daumé was founded around 1625, and the royal palace group remaining in Avomai is a soil structure built by Fong tribe from the mid-17th century to the late nineteenth century. Since this royal group is one of the most famous and historically important traditional landscapes in West Africa, it was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985 as "the royal family of Abomei." The town is surrounded by a circular mud wall estimated to be six miles long and six gates, protected by a dense 5-foot deep groove of Acacia, commonly seen as a fortress defense in West Africa There.
