"Aldabra Atoll" "Aldabra" An atoll in the Indian Ocean about 1000 kilometers southwest of Mahe Island in Seychelles. It consists of four islands formed by raised coral reefs. It is famous as the habitat for the Aldabra Giant tortoise, the spawning ground for the Turtley turtle. In 1982, it was registered as a World Heritage (natural heritage). アルダブラ‐かんしょう【アルダブラ環礁】 《Aldabra》セイシェルのマヘ島から南西約1000キロメートルのインド洋上にある環礁。サンゴ礁が隆起してできた四つの島からなる。アルダブラゾウガメの生息地、タイマイ・アオウミガメの産卵地として有名。1982年、世界遺産(自然遺産)に登録された。
