Definition of ぶんごおおの in the Japanese dictionary
Bungo Ohn [Bungo Ohno] City in southern Oita Prefecture. It occupies the middle waters of the Onogawa river that flows southward to Oita-shi and flows into Beppu Bay. Established in March 2005, Mie-cho, Kiyokawa village, Ogata-cho, Chosun-cho, Ohno-cho, Chitose village, Inukai-cho merged. Population 39,000 (2010). ぶんごおおの【豊後大野】 大分県南部の市。大分市に南接し、別府湾に注ぐ大野川の中流域を占める。平成17年(2005)3月に三重町、清川村、緒方町、朝地町、大野町、千歳村、犬飼町が合併して成立。人口3.9万(2010)。
