Butrint] An archaeological site near the Greek border in southern Albania. Originated from the colonial city of Greece, an Ionian style temple and an amphitheater were created. When it is annexed to the Roman Empire, its urban function is further expanded. In the Eastern Roman Empire, Christian architecture was also thriving but it was ruined in the Ottoman Empire era. Excavation began in the 20th century and registered as a World Heritage (cultural heritage) in 1992. It was expanded in 1999. ブトリント【Butrint】 アルバニア南部のギリシャ国境近くにある遺跡。ギリシャの植民都市を起源とし、イオニア式の神殿や円形劇場などがつくられた。ローマ帝国に併合されると、その都市機能はさらに拡充。東ローマ帝国時代にはキリスト教建築も盛んにみられたが、オスマン帝国時代に廃墟となった。20世紀になって発掘がすすみ、1992年に世界遺産(文化遺産)に登録。1999年に拡張登録された。
