Biolumen
Bioluminescence is a phenomenon in which organisms generate and emit light. It occurs as a result of a chemical reaction converting chemical energy into light energy. In English, it is called bioluminescence (Bioluminescence), it is a compound word of Greek bios (bio) and Latin lumen (light). In most cases bioluminescence is related to adenosine triphosphate (ATP). This chemical reaction can occur either intracellularly or extracellularly. In bacteria, the expression of genes related to bioluminescence is controlled by an operon called the Lux operon. Bioluminescence appeared many times (about 30 times) independently in the course of evolution. Bioluminescence is also found in invertebrates and terrestrial invertebrates and fish, protists, fungi and others. It is also known that microorganisms coexisting with other organisms cause bioluminescence (symbiotic light emission). ...
