Valens emperor "Valens Kemeri" The remains of aqueduct during the eastern Roman Empire in Istanbul, the city of northwest Turkey. Construction began under the reign of Constantine I and completed in Emperor Valence. Initially it was about 1 kilometer in length and now about 800 meters remain. In Turkish it is called Boz Doan Kemeri (Arch of Argus). バレンス‐すいどうきょう【バレンス水道橋】 《Valens Kemeri》トルコ北西部の都市イスタンブールにある東ローマ帝国時代の水道橋の遺構。コンスタンティヌス1世の治世下に建設が始まり、バレンス帝の時代に完成した。建造当初は長さ約1キロメートル、現在は約800メートルが残っている。トルコ語ではボズドアンケメリ(チョウゲンボウのアーチ)と呼ばれる。
