Borogino
Borogino (Russian: Бородино, Borodino) is a village in Mojakerski district of western Moscow State, Russia. It is located 100 kilometers west from the capital Moscow, 12 km west of the closest big town of Mojaïsk city and is located on the right bank of the Moscow River. Borogino village is known as the stage of the battle of Borodino on September 7, 1812, fought between the Great Army of Napoleon I and the Russian Imperial Army led by Mikhail Kutuzov. The battlefield trail of the time was called the Borodino Battlefield (Бородинское поле) and the vast range was preserved, the museum of Borogino military history and the protected area are in it, and the monument is also built. Borogino has become a battlefield between the 32nd Sniper Division of the Red Army and the 10th Armor Division and the SS Division Reich belonging to the Central Army Group of the German Defense Forces, even in the battle of Moscow from October 1941. ...
