Inca [Empire of the Inca] An Inca country that prospered from the 15th to the 16th century, centered on Cusco in southern Peru. In the heyday it became a great empire ranging from Ecuador to Chile. I believed in the sun god and took the monarchy with the king being his son at the top. It has a high culture such as megalithic buildings, golden work, and textiles, but there is no character. In 1533, the last king Atahualpa was executed and destroyed by Spanish Pizarro. Remains remain in Cusco and Machu Picchu. インカ‐ていこく【インカ帝国】 ペルー南部のクスコを中心に、15世紀から16世紀にかけて繁栄したインカ族の国。最盛期にはエクアドルからチリにまで及ぶ大帝国となった。太陽神を信仰し、その子とされる王を頂点とする君主制をとった。巨石建築物や黄金細工、織物などの高い文化を有したが、文字はない。1533年、スペインのピサロによって最後の王アタワルパが処刑され、滅亡。クスコやマチュピチュに遺跡が残る。
