Kalgoorlie
Kalgoorlie is a city within the Goldfields Esperance area, located approximately 600 km east of Perth in the capital of Western Australia. At the end of the 19th century when the gold rush took place as a town of gold mining, the current population of the country is about 30,000 people. The name Kalgoorie is based on Karlkurla (pronounced gull-gull-la) which is the place name of the local Aboriginal, meaning "place of the silky pears".
