Kigoma (Kigoma) is the capital of Tanzania, Kigoma state. It is also written Kigoma. Located on the east coast of Tanzanica lake. As neighboring cities, Uzji is about 10 km north. It is also close to the Burundi border and the Democratic Republic of the Congo on the other side of Lake Tanzanica. It is tied by rail from Dar es Salaam on the coast of the Indian Ocean to Kigoma. Slavery hunting spread to this area as slave trade which had been developed in the east coast of Africa in 19th century became large as it developed as a settlement on the inland trade street. In 1858, Burton and Speak, who were dispatched from the Royal Geography Society of the United Kingdom, reached Kigoma. Kigoma 【Kigoma】 A city in the western part of Tanzania. The capital of Kigoma state. Located on the east coast of Tanganyika, close to the border with Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Since the mid-nineteenth century, it developed as a base for Arab slave trade. It is the main point of Lake Traffic and was connected with Dar es Salaam by the railroad in the beginning of the 20th century.
