Kilobytes
Kilobyte is a unit that expresses the size of information and the capacity of a storage device by a computer. It is abbreviated as kB. Unlike the commonly used SI prefix kilometer, it is often used as a representation of 210 in common usage. In this case, 1,024 bytes is converted to 1 kilobyte. For the purpose of distinguishing it from 103, it is often written as K instead of k. However, there is not any provision that decides to write in K and capital letters (in spoken language, in order to distinguish it more clearly, it is sometimes called "Cabyte"). In any case, it is a common practice to set 1,024 bytes to 1 kilobyte, as strictly following the SI prefix, 1 kB is 1,000 bytes. Therefore, if you want to express 210 clearly, using Kibibyte will not cause unnecessary confusion. ...
