Makoto Kobayashi [Makoto Kobayashi] [1944 ~] Physicist. Born of Aichi. In 1973, in collaboration with Toshihide Masukawa, "Kobayashi Masukawa Theory" was announced. We showed that if there are six or more basic particle quarks, we can theoretically explain the phenomenon of 'breaking CP symmetry' related to the formation of the universe. Heisei 2001 (2001) Cultural meritorious person. He received a Nobel Prize in Physics in 2008 (2008). In the same year, received the Order of Culture. こばやし‐まこと【小林誠】 [1944~ ]物理学者。愛知の生まれ。昭和48年(1973)、益川敏英と共同で「小林益川理論」を発表。基本粒子クオークが6種類以上存在すれば、宇宙の成り立ちにかかわる「CP対称性の破れ」の現象を理論的に説明できることを示した。平成13年(2001)文化功労者。平成20年(2008)、ノーベル物理学賞受賞。同年、文化勲章受章。
