Conwy Castle "Conwy Castle" Castle in Conwy, the town of northern Wales, England. At the end of the 13th century Edward I was one of the castles built in the Gwynedd region as a base for conquering Wales. The outer wall and eight circular towers remain. Along with Caernarfon Castle, Beaumaris Castle and Harleaf Castle, it was registered as a World Heritage (Cultural Heritage) as "Castle Group and City Wall Group of Edward I of Gwynedd" in 1986.
