Gosa Foss
Gosa Foss (Iisland: Goðafoss. "Waterfalls of Gods" or "Godzilla Falls") is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Iceland. It is situated at the beginning of the Mevaton district, Springuisandru altitude road in the north central part of Iceland. The water of the Scarle Fandaflyut River flows down from the height of 12 m with a width of 30 m or more. In 999 or 1000, Ryosan Vaton's Solgeir Solkersson confirmed Christianity as the state religion of Iceland. On the way back from Albing, Solgeir threw in the waterfall the statue of the ancient God of Northern Europe that he had. The story of Sol Gale is left in Ali Sorgislussson's "Icelandic Book."
