Cospicua The town in the southeastern part of Valletta, the capital of the Republic of Malta, an island country in the central part of the Mediterranean. Located in the eastern part of Malta Island, on the other side of Valletta across the Grand Harbor. It is surrounded by the double walled walls built by the Malta Order. The former name was Borumla (Barmura), honored for its success in the Great Siege Battle by the Ottoman Army in 1565 and was renamed to the current name meaning "remarkable (active) city." There is a central market centering on port facility, and Immaculate Church of Our Lady remains. コスピークワ【Cospicua】 地中海中央部の島国、マルタ共和国の首都バレッタの南東部にある町。マルタ島東部に位置し、グランド港を挟んでバレッタの対岸に位置する。マルタ騎士団が築いた二重の城壁に囲まれる。旧称はボルムラ(バームラ)で、1565年のオスマン帝国軍による大包囲戦での活躍を称え、「顕著な(活躍をした)都市」を意味する現在の名称に改められた。港湾施設を中心に中央市場があり、無原罪の聖母教会が残っている。
