Grand Socco 【Grand Socco】 It is a square in the entrance to the old part of the city center of Tangier, the harbor city northern end of Morocco. The official name is "Plaza on 9th April 1947". King Muhammad V was named after the day he made a speech to appeal Morocco independence. There is marble fountain, clock tower, and it is adjacent to Menduvia garden. グラン‐ソッコ【Grand Socco】 モロッコ北端の港湾都市タンジールの中央部、旧市街入口にある広場。正式名称は「1947年4月9日広場」。国王ムハンマド5世がモロッコ独立を訴える演説をした日にちなんで名づけられた。大理石の噴水、時計塔があり、メンドゥービア庭園に隣接する。
