Castle of Good Hope 【Castle of Good Hope】 Old Fortress of the gorge shape in the city center of Cape Town in the southwestern part of South Africa. It was constructed by the Dutch East India Company from 1666 to 1679, and the governor of the company was inhabited. It is known as one of the country's oldest buildings by Europeans. Currently the Western Cape Army Headquarters is in place. キャッスル‐オブ‐グッドホープ【Castle of Good Hope】 南アフリカ共和国南西部の都市ケープタウンの市街中心部にある五稜形の旧要塞。1666年から1679年にかけてオランダ東インド会社によって建造され、同社総督が居住した。ヨーロッパ人による同国最古の建築物の一つとして知られる。現在は西ケープ陸軍司令部が置かれている。
