Nikujukake [226 cases] Showa 11 (1936) On February 26, the coup d'etre incidented the Army 's Empress Women' s Youth Officer to a political reform by force and led by unlicensed officers and soldiers. Minister Saito Minoru Saito Minoru, Finance Minister Takahashi Ryoichiro, Mr. Etsushi Watanabe Watanabe Keitaro and others were killed, occupied the Parliament House and Prime Minister's official residence. The next morning martial law was promulgated in Tokyo city and was suppressed on 29th. The majority of the officers became the death penalty, after which the military's voice, mainly the control group, was strengthened. ににろく‐じけん【二二六事件】 昭和11年(1936)2月26日、陸軍の皇道派青年将校が武力による政治改革を目ざし、下士官・兵を率いて起こしたクーデター事件。内大臣斎藤実・蔵相高橋是清・教育総監渡辺錠太郎らを殺害、国会議事堂・首相官邸周辺を占領した。翌日東京市に戒厳令が公布され、29日鎮圧された。将校の大半は死刑となり、以後、統制派を中心とする軍部の発言権が強化された。
