Omaha
Omaha (English: Omaha) is the largest city in the state located at the eastern end of Nebraska, USA. The population is about 410,000 people (2004) and the population of urban area is slightly less than 1 million. Located on the west bank of the Missouri River, it flourished as a trading base since the gold rush. After opening the Union-Pacific Railroad (Continental Crossing Railroad), it developed as the origin of the East. Today it is a base for agriculture and livestock production in the surroundings, especially the food industry such as dairy farming and livestock processing is developing.
