Odessa
Odessa (Ukrainian: Одеса Odysosa, Russian: Одесса) is a port city facing the Black Sea in southern Ukraine. It is the provincial office of Odessa State. The population as of 2006 is about 993 thousand people. It has an important trade port and has been dominated by various countries in the history so far, it has become a very international city. As Russian Empire developed in the Soviet Union era, the language mainly used by locals is Russian, but the official language is only Ukrainian.
