Rinkai Fukushoshin [Rinkai Fukutoshin] Tokyo's artificial island, sub-city center consisting of No. 10 and No. 13. It corresponds to Ariake-ku, Aomi, Aomi, Minato-ku Odaiba, Shinagawa-ku Higashi-tachimichi. Development began in 1989 and was connected with the city center by Rainbow Bridge, Tokyo Rinkai New Traffic Yurikamome etc. From place name of No. 13, also called Odaiba. りんかい‐ふくとしん【臨海副都心】 東京の人工島、10号地と13号地からなる副都心。江東区有明・青海・港区台場・品川区東八潮に当たる。平成元年(1989)ごろから開発が進み、レインボーブリッジや東京臨海新交通ゆりかもめなどで都心と結ばれた。13号地の地名から、お台場ともいう。
