Risinga
Lisinga (Lichinga) is the city of Mozambique. Population 142,253 people (2007). Located in the northern part of Mozambique, it is the capital of Niasa State. Located on the highland of 1360 m above the east side of Lake Niasa. Former name Villa Cabral (Vila Cabral). Risinga was built in Portugal in 1931 as the base of this area. In 1962 the city was redeveloped. In the early 1960s, the population was 27 thousand, and in 1970 it was 36, 715 people. When Mozambique became independent in 1975, Villa Cabral was renamed as Ricingha. ...
