Swakopmund
Swakopmund is a city facing the Atlantic Ocean of Namibia. The population is 28,552 people (2007). It is also the capital city of Elongo. It was constructed in 1892 as a major port of the German west South-west Africa. It is the first beach resort of Namibia, and in the summer many people visit from the inland cities such as Windhoek, the capital to the summer heat.
