Definition of ディー‐エス‐アール‐シー in the Japanese dictionary
DSRC "dedicated short range communications" Dedicated wireless communication used for the provision of road traffic conditions (VICS) and automatic toll collection (ETC) in the Intelligent Transportation System (ITS). Bidirectional communication is performed between the ITS spot (roadside device) installed on the road and the vehicle-mounted device by using radio waves of the 5.8 gigahertz band which is one of ISM bands. Because communication is carried out within a narrow range of several meters to several tens of meters, it is also called short-range communication or dedicated short-range communication.
