Definition of ティエンムー‐じ in the Japanese dictionary
"Chua Thien Mu" City in central Vietnam Buddhist temple in the southwestern suburb of Old Town of Hue. Established in 1601. There is a seven-octagonal tower about 21 meters tall and known as the representative building of Hue. The name comes after having regarded the old woman who predicted as "a ruler appears in this place and building a tower" as a celestial boy. Tenchukuji ティエンムー‐じ【ティエンムー寺】 《Chua Thien Mu》ベトナム中部の都市フエの旧市街南西郊にある仏教寺院。1601年に建立。高さ約21メートルの七重の八角形の塔があり、フエを代表する建物として知られる。名称は、かつて「この地に支配者が現れて塔を建てる」と予言した老婆を天女とみなしたことにちなむ。天姥寺。
