Wetaruuu [Wetar Island] "Pulau Wetar" An island in the eastern part of Indonesia, south of the Molucca archipelago. It floats off the coast about 60 kilometers north of Timor Island across the Wetar Strait. Covered with jungle, surrounded by coral reefs. Sea cucumber produces tortoiseshells. The main town is Irwaki on the south coast. ウェタル‐とう【ウェタル島】 《Pulau Wetar》インドネシア東部、モルッカ諸島南端の島。ウェタル海峡を挟んでティモール島の北約60キロメートル沖に浮かぶ。密林に覆われ、周囲をサンゴ礁に囲まれる。ナマコ、べっこうを産する。主な町は南岸のイルワキ。
