Definition of ワット‐チョンカム in the Japanese dictionary
Wat Chong Kham Buddhist temple in Mae Hong Son, the northwest corner of Thailand. It was erected in the 1820s and rebuilt in the 1970s. It faces Chongkam Lake with the neighboring Wat Chon Cran and is known as a beautiful temple with a Burmese style of architecture. There is a golden pagoda 15 meters high with roofs overlaying layers of silver decoration. ワット‐チョンカム【Wat Chong Kham】 タイ北西端の町メーホンソンにある仏教寺院。1820年代に建立され、1970年代に再建。隣接するワットチョンクランとともにチョンカム湖に面し、ビルマ風の建築様式を取り入れた美しい寺院として知られる。銀色の装飾が施された何層にも重なる屋根をもち、高さ15メートルの黄金の仏塔がある。
