Definition of ワット‐タムスア in the Japanese dictionary
Wat Tham Sua Buddhist temple located 10 km north of Krabi in southern Thailand, the western coast of the Malay Peninsula. It is located in the cave of the cliff where the limestone rose, and it was also called Tiger Cave (Tiger's Cave) because the wild tiger was seen until the 1970's. Inside there are Buddhist stones and golden Buddha statues. ワット‐タムスア【Wat Tham Sua】 タイ南部、マレー半島西岸の町クラビーの北約10キロメートルにある仏教寺院。石灰岩の切り立った断崖の洞窟にあり、1970年代まで野生のトラが見られたことから、タイガーケーブ(トラの洞窟)とも呼ばれる。内部には仏足石や黄金の仏像などがある。
