IPod
The iPod is an MP3 player produced by Apple. IPods can play music files in AAC format, which are defined as part of MPEG-2 and MPEG-4, and MP3, WAV, AIFF, Apple Lossless format music files, and Audible format audiobooks. With its easy click wheel interface and large storage capacity, convenient song management through iTunes, and convenience of purchasing songs through the iTunes Store, it is gaining popularity around the world. As of the end of 2004, the US market share was over 70% in the entire digital music player market, though it was thought that it would fail due to lack of add-ons at the time of launch, too heavy and expensive. In early 2004, iPod mini, which had a smaller size using a 1.0-inch hard disk, was released. In October 2004, iPod Photo was first introduced with a color screen and a photo view function.
