Ankaios
Anciaus was the king of Samos and the sailor of the Argo. Steering was his special skill. Anciaus is the son of King Riccardo of Arcadia. He is a sailor on the Argo and a participant in the slaughter of the Carillon wild boar. His weapon was concealed in the house, but he set off wearing only bearskin and armed only with Lublin. His wife is Iotis, and his mother is Euronome. Agaepenor, the son of Ancios, led the Arcadia during the Trojan War. He played a key role in navigating the Argo. He is the son of Poseidon and Astiphalia, and brother of Elio Pilos. According to another explanation, his father was Altes, the king of the Reeliges, who fell in love with Anciaus ruling the Regregaries of Samos. According to the epic written by Samos' poet Ashios, he married Samia, the daughter of the river god Mae'er.
