Anmin Tunnel
Anmin Tunnel is a tunnel of Route 25 which passes through Anmin Pass, located between Seongju-dong, Seongsan-gu, Changwon-si, Gyeongsangnam-do and Seodae-dong, Jinhae-gu. It is made up of four lanes with a length of 1,818m. In order to compensate for the fact that the existing Boseong Tunnel has to bypass the Wonchangwon area and the Jinhae area, it invested about 140 billion won in Gyeongsangnam-do and started construction on January 4, 1994. It opened on May 1, 1999. Changwon center and Jinhae center area are connected directly to each other to provide quick access. In order to repay the 27 billion won of local debt that has been invested in construction funds, we have collected the second toll from Gyeongsangnam-do after Changwon Tunnel. It was completed and free of charge from July 1, 2008. However, Anmin Tunnels, which had a monthly average traffic volume of 38,000 units before the free transfer, experienced a sudden increase in traffic volume in June 2010 due to the use of 52,905 cars in a month, causing traffic congestion such as Changwon Tunnel.
