Anti-Semitism
Anti-Semitism refers to discrimination and hatred towards the Jews. It is called antisemitism in English, but it is aimed at the Jews only, not aiming at the whole Semitic. Anti-Semitism has many forms. There are many examples from personal hatred to violent persecution such as Holocaust and Foglom. It is also called the oldest hatred of a long history. European Christians regard Jews as the people who killed Jesus, and religious prejudices that ancient Church fathers called the Jews as hypocrites or racism that sees the Jews as inferior races may be the beginning of anti-Semitism. Anti-Semitism can also be found in Zionism, the far right in opposition to Israel, socialism in modern Europe, and Islamic radicalism. The first occurrence of anti-Semitism is not certain. Peter Schaefer, a professor at the Free University of Berlin, claims that the ancient Greeks were widespread when they told the story of ancient Egypt again and argued that anti-Semitism only happened in Egypt.
