Bimbisara
Bombissa was the king of the Hariyanka dynasty of the Magadan Empire. He was a contemporary of Gotama Siddhartha. It merged Haga and sent the prince, Azatasha True, to the capital, the Champa. Bibbissa appears in both Buddhist and Jain literature. According to the Buddhist literature, King Bimbisara had met him before the Buddha was enlightened, and later became a disciple of Buddha. He is said to have reached the first stage of Buddhist inquiry apology, According to the Jain literature, he is referred to as King Shurenika of Raj Ghraha and is reported to be a disciple of Mahavira as a Jain believer. Bimbisa strengthened his position through the marriage alliance. His first wife, Kosala Debbie, was the daughter of Mahal Kosala, king of Kosala, and sister of King Pasernadi. Through this marriage, Varanasi, a small town at that time, was secured as a dowry, giving the opportunity to end the hostile relationship between Magada and Kosala and to deal with other countries.
