Bongwangcheon
The stream flows in the northwestern part of Seoul, South Korea, through the Eunpyeong-gu, Seodaemun-gu, and Mapo-gu. It originates from Tibongsan Bibong, and flows through Dongchon, Ngam, Jusan, Bukhajae and Seongsan-dong starting from Bulgwang-dong, Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul. Originally it was the first tributary of the Han River and flowed into the Nanjido River, but after joining the Hongje River by river maintenance, it became a second tributary and flows into the Han River. The upper stream of the river that leads to the Guapal is a cloistered area, and the river is revealed from the distance of the Ngam Station shrine. The length of the stream is 9.21km. The stream was flooded with garbage and stench. However, in 2002, it was converted into a natural river by installing sewage prevention facilities, raising groundwater and flowing water.
