Definition of 부피바카인 in the Korean dictionary
Bupivacaine is a topical anesthetic that is chemically similar to mebacucin, but its anesthetic action is four times stronger than mefibaccaine or lidocaine, and its duration is two to three times longer. Therefore, this drug is used when a long-term local anesthetic action is desired, and anesthesia can be obtained for 3-5 hours at 0.25% for submucosal anesthesia and 0.25-0.5% for nerve block or epidural block . As with other topical anesthetics, excessive side effects may include convulsions, circulatory collapse, and myocardial inhibition. 부피바카인 국소마취약으로 화학적으로는 메피바카인과 많이 유사한 구조를 가지고 있으나, 마취작용은 메피바카인이나 리도카인보다 4배나 강하며, 지속시간도 2~3배나 길다. 따라서 본약은 장시간의 국소마취작용을 얻고 싶은 경우에 이용되는 것으로, 침윤마취에는 0.25%로 약 200분, 또한 신경 블록이나 경막외 블록에서는 0.25~0.5%로 3~6시간의 마취를 얻을 수 있다. 부작용은 다른 국소마취약과 마찬가지로 과량의 경우 경련, 순환허탈등이 일어나며, 심근억제도 약간 강하다고 한다.
