Chondogyo Central Chapel
The Chondogyo Chungdang Cathedral is the headquarters of Chondogyo and the center of the anti-Japanese movement during the Japanese occupation. Buddhism, Confucianism, Mission, and Thought of Buddhism, as well as the existing Buddhist religions, have diminished in their existence. At this time, the influx of Catholic Catholicism attracted the attention of ordinary people. It is Donghak that appeared in response to this. In 1860, Choi declared the Buddhist Alliance, the Pudokhae, and the Kwangju, and founded Donghak. Son Byeong-hee is the three great masters of Donghak, and in 1905 Donghak was changed to Chondogyo. The construction of the Chungang University was promoted by Son Byeong-hee. The Japanese government interfered with the construction of this building, but it was built with the donation of 3 million people. We plan to raise 10 won for each shindo. The site was devoted to 1,500 pyeong of Yunchiogae. This document contains material based on a work published in the public domain through a knowledge sharing project in Seoul Metropolitan Government.
