Daelim Group
Daelim Group is a group of companies that grew and developed with Daelim Industry as the main axis. Daelim Group has grown on the basis of comprehensive construction business and has built a base for development through petrochemical business. The main business fields are construction, engineering, petrochemical, trade, manufacturing, finance, telecommunications, leisure, logistics, and founder Lee Jaejun. The predecessor of Daelim Industrial, the parent company, was the Boryeong Chamber of Commerce established in October 1939 and changed its name to the current name in June 1947. After establishing Seoul Securities in May 1954 and Poonglim Industrial in October, Daewoo established the Seoul Machine Works in May 1955, Daelim Concrete Industry in December 1965, and Daelim Commerce in April 1970. In April 1971, Daelim acquired the Ceramics Center and established a branch in Singapore. In July 1974, Daelim Engineering Co., Ltd. was established and four overseas branches were installed in the Middle East and elsewhere. In 1976 the company publicly listed its shares on the stock exchange.
