Atlantic Charter
The Atlantic Charter was conceived in 1941 during World War II by Winston Churchill and Roosevelt in the Atlantic, and presented the concept of 14 peace treaties to the postwar global order. The United States expressed its mission and determination to fulfill its responsibilities as a member of the democratic forces against fascism, and was approved by 33 countries, including the Soviet Union. This content became the principle of the United Nations which was established before and after the war.
