Independent newspaper
The Independent Newspaper was the first Korean - language newspaper published in Korea on April 7, 1896. The publisher, Seo Jae-pil, who came back from the United States, became the center and was published as a bibliography of the independent association. Seo Jae-pil was first issued on April 7, receiving KRW 4,400 at the time and receiving support from the Korean government. Three of the four faces were written in pure Korean, and the first was written in English. Yoon Gil Joon, Yun Chiho, Sang Lee Jae, Kyung Kyung participated in the writing. It was published by Seo Jae-pil, but after he was exiled to the United States, he was published by Henri Appenzeller as a publisher and was released with the dissolution of the Independent Association. The Independent Newspaper was the first net Korean newspaper, the first English newspaper in Korea, and was able to post a column regardless of its status. On April 7, 1957, the Korean Newspaper Editors' Association designated the day of the independent newspaper as the newspaper day.
