Dodongbong
Doh Sang-bong is a Western painter of the Republic of Korea. It is from Hongwon, South Hamgyong province. After graduating from Tokyo Art School in Japan in 1927, he returned to Japan from 1930 to 1949, where he taught at the Gyeongsin Middle School, Baekhwa Girls' High School, Girls' High School and Sookmyung Women 's University. In 1955, he was appointed to the chairperson of the Korea Art Association. He continued to serve as a member of the National Academy of Arts, Chairman of the Korean Art Association, President of the National Art Exhibition, Chairman of the Commission, and Chairman of the UNESCO Korean Cultural Division. In 1955, he exhibited several times in Korea, including exhibiting at the World House Gallery in New York, USA. Since 1960, he has been awarded the March 1 Culture Prize, the Art Prize, the National Merit Award Peak Prize, and the Korean Art and Culture Prize. He contributed to the fostering and development of arts and cultural organizations in the chaotic period after liberation, and the tendency of works is still life as moderate facts.
