Ernest John
Ernest John Rocket is America's first nuclear-capable ground-based rocket. The first launch was in 1951, and the actual deployment was in January 1953. W31 nuclear warheads, and in the late 1960s a sarin nerve gas warhead was installed. There are two models: ▪ MGR-1A range of 48 km, thrust 400 kN, weight 2,720 kg, diameter 580 mm, length 8.32 m. ▪ MGR-1B range of 37 km, thrust of 382 kN, weight of 2,040 kg, diameter of 760 mm, length of 7.56 m. After producing more than 7,000 guns, the production of the Ernest Zone was discontinued in 1965 and replaced with the 1973 Lance missile. However, it was used by NATO, the European and American National Guard until 1982.
