Gangneung-si
Gangneung is a city in the middle of the eastern coast of Gangwon Province in the Republic of Korea. It is the largest city in Yeongdong Province, located at a similar latitude to Seoul. In the Goguryeo era, it was also called Haslâ. The Taebaek mountain range extends to the west, the East Sea spreads to the east, and the coastline length is 64.5 km. In the winter, a cold Northwest wind rises above the Taebaek mountain range, causing a phenomenon that is warmer than the west coast of the same latitude and close to a maritime climate with a small car. The coastal area is deep and the Korean wave and turbulent flows along the seasons. In the west, Pyeongchang, the south, Donghae, and the north, Yangyang. There are abundant tourism resources such as Gyeongpo and Daeheon, and Jeongdongjin Station, which is the nearest train station in the sea, is located in Gangdong-myeon. Every year in the lunar month, Kangneung Danoje, the world intangible heritage, is held. Higher education institutions include Wonju National University, Kangwon National University, Catholic Kondong University, which is a private university, and Gwangwon National University, a public university. The city hall is located in Hongje-dong, and the administrative district is 13 districts, 7 districts and 13 districts.
