Green Bag
Greenback is the name given to it because it was green in the back of the US government, not drawn by private banks or the Federal Reserve System. The first President to issue Greenback was President Lincoln, who issued a $ 400 million Green Bag to finance the Civil War. Even after that, the Greenback was published occasionally, but it was not published because of the bankers' criticism. And with the advent of the Federal Reserve system, greenbacks have become unnecessary. The President who issued the last Greenback was President Kennedy, but the Greenback he published was not circulated properly.
