Geumsan-gun
Geumsan - gun is a county in the south - eastern part of Chungcheongnam - do, South Korea. Yeongdong-gun, Okcheon-gun, Chungcheongnam-do, Nonsan, Chungcheongbuk-do, Daejeon-metropolitan-city, and south Jeollabuk-do Muju-gun, Jinan-gun and Wanju-gun. The specialty is ginseng, which is famous for its herbs. The Geumsan International Ginseng Herbal Research Institute and the International Ginseng Distribution Center are located, and the Geumsan Ginseng Festival is held annually. It is connected to Daejeon Tongyeong Expressway from Jinsan junction and Chubu junction. Surrounded by mountains from 400 meters to 900 meters above sea level, a fertile basin was formed with the introduction of the Golden Mountain and the Phoenix River into the main stream of the Geum River. There is Seodae Mountain which is the highest mountain in Chungcheongnam-do. On the surface, there is the Hansan factory of Hankook Tire, the world's largest tire production base. One of the attractions is the 700-gun gun that combines the remains of 700 doctors who died in the Japanese invasion. The county seat is Geumsan-eup, and the administrative district is 1 eup and 9.
